Virtuous Woman

The Hebrew words (above) are the words inscribed on this ring. They are taken from the verse: "Who can find a virtuous woman for her price is far above rubies" (Proverbs 31:10).

This verse is a traditional Jewish phrase that comes to describe the ideal woman (some may say also - wife), as detailed in the rest of the verses of the book of Proverbs. The translation of the Hebrew word as “virtuous” is not entirely complete, as the word also suggests qualities that can be translated as valor and power.

The ideal woman stands tall by the side of her man (if he is lucky enough find one…) possessing the qualities of a leader: High moral standard, grace, generosity, hard working, modest and wise.
